Warehouse Management

Designed to accommodate diverse warehouse practices and requirements, our Warehousing and Distribution Logistics System is a one-stop solution to successful warehouse management. WDLS streamlines inbound/outbound processing, inventory management and 3rd party invoice production and provides software bridges to accounts receivable, electronic data exchange and physical inventory.

Finance

Accounts receivable, sales and revenue reporting – WDLS Finance offers A/R functionality and a flexible, stand-alone revenue reporting solution. Many of our customers find WDLS Finance reporting capabilities sufficient to manage the billing and receivables side of their business. For those companies with more sophisticated financial modeling requirements, WDLS can funnel A/R activity to any number of accounting packages. In either case, the billing complexities of the 3rd party logistics concern were central to the design of this application.

e-Commerce

WDLS e-Commerce provides real-time status information with clients and all other members of the distribution chain. Our road-tested processing and EDI mapping solutions have been proven with any version of recognized EDI standards (ANSIX, USC or EDIFACT). e-Commerce Can accommodate multiple trading partners trading multiple documents via direct connections, value-added network, file transfer protocol (FTP), secure FTP or AS2 over the Internet or a virtual private network.

Radio Frequency

From directing put-away, picking, pick line replenishment and real-time labor management, WDLS Radio Frequency maximizes efficient movement within the warehouse by managing product movement, verifying product information, and efficiently directing the workforce. Activity histories provide accurate operations metrics and accountability reporting. Physical inventories become much more efficient. Through the use of scanning devices and barcode labeling, WDLS Radio Frequence reduces cost and increases locator accuracy.

Web Services

Warehouses cannot function today in isolation from their clients. The 3rd party warehouse is expected to function as a member of the distribution chain for each of their clients, regardless of the different business practices and information systems they employ. Delivering reporting electronically via e-mail and providing customers with a self-service portal to access real-time product balance and shipment status information greatly improves your relationship with the most demanding customer.

“Our experience with WDLS … has been one of stability, flexibility, ease of use and exemplary support. Our operation is complex, running multiple warehouse operations in different environments on one server. The systems ease of use through all of this complexity is the best I have encountered.”

Jim Houpt, Manager of Operations, Logisco.

“The WDLS e-Commerce module trades 90% of our activity electronically, which has increased our accuracy and significantly reduced our overhead. This is accomplished using a variety of EDI and proprietary file formats over a combination of value-added networks, secure TCP connections and the Internet."

Darby Strickland, President, The Shippers Group.

"Using WDLSRF, we conducted a blind, dual-count audited physical inventory of 1.2 million cases ... The dual counts and recounts were recorded in 4 hours. Using RF devices … our client measured the accuracy at .996 … their best result ever.”

Graham Swank, General Manager, Southwest Logistics.
